What is coagulation?
Coagulation is a technique in which benign skin imperfections are removed by means of heat. This is done with the help of a needle and electrical conduction.
What can we handle?
We can treat the following skin irregularities with the help of coagulation:
red kegs / couperose / telangiectasia
spider heads / spider naevi
cherry warts / cherry haemangioma
stalk warts / fibroids
barley granules / miliae
The purpose of the treatment is to remove the skin irregularities.
The treatment
For the first treatment you will receive an intake interview and photos will be made. These will be used to map the results of the treatments. Before we start coagulating, the area to be treated is disinfected. The area will then be stretched and the skin irregularity will be coagulated. You can experience this as a pin prick. After coagulation, the area will be disinfected again and a protective cream will be applied.
In some cases your health insurer reimburses the treatment. For this we ask you for a referral letter from the doctor or specialist.
Preparations
If the skin irregularities are on the body, we ask you to come with supple clothing or easy to take off clothing so that we can treat you well.
How many treatments are needed?
In most cases you need 1-2 treatments.
Aftercare
We recommend that you do not go into the sun or under the sunbed for at least two days after the treatment because of heat development and the risk of pigmentation. If you go outside, use an SPF30 or higher.
We recommend that you do not go into the sauna or exercise intensively for at least two days after the treatment due to heat development and sensitive skin.
If scabs occur, we recommend that you do not scratch due to the risk of infection and scarring.
Avoid wearing abrasive clothing and jewelry until any wounds / scabs are healed.
