What is lip edema?
Lipedema is a painful, chronic condition in which an enlargement and multiplication of fat cells manifests itself. As a result, the lymph fluid cannot be drained sufficiently, resulting in swelling (lymphedema). Preferred location are the legs, hips, buttocks, and arms. Lipo-edema therapy is the treatment to promote the stagnant drainage of lymph fluid.
What are the symptoms of lip edema?
- Upper and lower body can differ between two and three clothing sizes
- Bruising quickly
- Sensitive legs and / or arms
- Sore legs and / or arms
- Tingling and / or poor
- Heavy feeling in the legs and / or arms
- Tired feeling in the legs and / or arms
- Loss of strength in the legs and / or arms
- Orange skin (cellulite / panniculose)
- No improvement in complaints with weight reduction
How can we handle it?
Treatment is aimed at draining lymph fluid and reducing painful, sensitive areas. The treatment mainly consists of manual lymph drainage, compression therapy, endermotherapy, exercises and lymph taping.
The treatment
Before the treatment you will receive an intake interview and photos will be made. These will be used to map the results of the treatments. Measurements will also be made to determine the effect of the treatments over time.
