What is lymph taping?
Lymph taping is the treatment of lymphedema using an elastic, cotton tape with an anti-allergic adhesive layer. The elasticity of the tape ensures that the upper skin layers are lifted slightly. This creates space in the underlying skin layers, where, among other things, the lymphatic vessels and capillaries are located. In this way the drainage of lymph fluid is stimulated and supported.
What can we handle?
Lymph tape can be used with:
lymphedema
haemorrhages (hematomas)
scars
pain relief
The treatment
Lymph taping is often used as supplementary treatment. To apply the tape, the skin is stretched by assuming a stretched position. If necessary, the skin therapist can tighten the skin extra. The tape is then laid on the skin without stretching. The tape is fixed by rubbing over it so that it takes body temperature, so that the anti-allergic adhesive layer adheres to the skin. The tape can remain in place for several days, with which you can also shower. If desired, the tape can be additionally fixed with the help of a special spray so that you can also bathe or swim with it.
You can purchase the tape from us. Unfortunately, this is not reimbursed by health insurers.
