What are support stockings?
Therapeutically elastic stockings (TEK), popularly called support stockings, are special stockings that support the lymphatic system in draining lymph fluid. Therapeutically elastic stockings can also be used for vascular problems and then support the vascular walls for a better flow of blood. This tool can be used on both arms and legs and can be made to measure. The accurate measurement of your arm or leg is therefore of great importance for optimum wearing comfort.
What can we handle?

varicose veins
open leg (ulcer cruris)
thrombosis
pregnancy
standing professions
The treatment
With a referral letter from the doctor you make an appointment for fitting the therapeutically elastic stocking (s). The fitting is necessary to determine the correct size, type and color. After 2-3 weeks a second appointment follows to fit the therapeutically elastic stocking (s).
Hoeveel behandelingen?
In principe bestaat de behandeling uit een aanzetting, waarna de therapeutisch elastische kous na ongeveer 2-3 weken gepast kan worden.
Nazorg
In de voorschriften die u uitgereikt krijgt, leest u hoe u de therapeutisch elastische kous(en) het beste kunt reinigen en onderhouden. Wij adviseren u deze voorschriften goed door te nemen.
Vergoeding
Bij gecontracteerde zorgverzekeraars worden de behandelingen vergoed mits er spraken is van een chronische indicatie. De vergoeding komt uit de basisverzekering. U dient een verwijzing van uw behandelend arts mee te nemen.
